I understand that at the last minute, two words were
removed from the speech :-)

The sentence:
"The war on terror is not a figure of speech."
was originally:
"The war on terror is not a figure of speech, Senator Kerry."

Kerry has been quoted as saying that he doesn't want
to use the phrase "War on Terror", for some reason.

That's a shame those two words were left out....Kerry is SO</> pre-9/11!!!
