I have to get to the keyboard more. This culture war, media war is combining with the war on terror and the so-called "useful idiots" to create a frighteningly deadly situation.

This culture war, media war is combining with the war on terror and the so-called "useful idiots" to create a frighteningly deadly situation.

The most breathtakingly outrageous latest example is the Iraqi spy woman who worked with Democrats (high profile ones as a spokesperson, no less) and media, yet turned out to be Andrew Card's cousin. As soon as they learned that aspect, that is what became the lead.

Yes, it later became known that Card was involved in the story, as he had become aware that his distant cousin was possibly engaged in espionage and turned her in, but the first article I read informing me of the relationship did not mention that. They lead in the headline and first paragraph only with the "Iraqi spy linked to Bush WH chief of staff", then gave the cousin relationship. Finally in the middle of the story it mentioned the Democrats and media gigs.

I'm hoping that most people intuitively grasp that the fact that the woman was arrested points to this administration not being cahoots with her misdeeds, as the article plainly tried to imply. The headline should have been straightforward that a spy was arrested, or the Card connection should have strained to point out he immediately turned her in.

Revived Media Shenanigans ping - George Bush Has Got All That Money For Campaign Ads, But Poor Old John Kerry Has Only Got The Combined Advertising Power Of All The Alphabet Networks

On, Off, or grab it for a Media Shenanigans/Schadenfreude ping:

Swaying the opinion of the people with television doesn't really work. That's why they can only charge a pittance for 30 seconds of advertising during the Super Bowl. ;-)

Well spoken! I just sent $50.00 to the Bush2004 campaign. Their gonna need it. My fear is that these media types are not silenced by CFR. And the Dems aren't going to obey the law anyway. Bush IMO needs to use this time till September (60 Day limit) to solicit as much outside help to destroy Kerry similar to the unsolicited group that ran the Willie Horton ads for his dad. The media must be countered.

The most amazing example of the bias is on radio news at the top of every hour. Listening to Glen Beck yesterday at the 10 AM news break NBC Radio News reported "President Bush was on Long Island to dedicate a 9/11 memorial and to attand a FUND RAISER fueling controversy!!" You cant be more blatant than that.

Great Hit piece.

The words out and "they", the media elites know we know that its a Kultur/ Culture War. In fact the word has gained currency with Chris Matthews and others. All they have to do is read FR regularly to know this. Add the BBC to the mildly humiliated. Add the old network personalities who have exposed their old bosses.

"liberal webs of propaganda and attempt to set the political agenda for American women--a liberal agenda."

"This is truly a cultural war. And it is being fought on the left by a powerful and well-entrenched media that believes it holds the high ground and the advantage. But I am betting that the Internet, talk radio and FOX News can outflank the media's Maginot Line"

Kelly Ann, Laura, Ann as will as Hannity, Scarbough, and O'Reilly

They know we know, we know they know

I heard one of the guest on Bulls and Bears show(I think that's the name) say that the media won't be making the same (stupid) mistake they did with Al Borg, in other words they're out to get Bush oust from Office!

The Mc Carthy hearings were stopped before they were complete. The many “seeds” (read CELLS) were left to grow and multiply. Ronald Reagan and Walt Disney both testified at these hearings:
http://historymatters.gmu.edu/d/6458/

Mr. REAGAN: “Well, sir . . . 99 percent of us are pretty well aware of what is going on… ….with their usual tactics, trying to run a majority of an organization with a well organized minority”.
Mr. DISNEY: In my opinion they are Communists. No one has any way of proving those things.
The young radicals (communists/socialists) of the 60’s have graduated from college and have become college professors, teachers, lawyers, politicians, or the business world elite. They are taking OUR country away from us and saving it for the “Future owners”.

These "reporters" are screaming like rabble rousers at a Nazi beer hall riot. They can't be reasoned with or debated. They are not our friends. They are the enemy.

But, this isn't the first time the media has supported the sleazes and opposed the good guys. In the past two presidential elections, they set up coverage the clearly tried to influence the outcome.

In 2000, the outfit they set up to question voters coming from the polls falsified the responses and indicated that Gore, not Bush, was winning. The reports from Florida were designed to make Nader voters in California stay home. It was a dishonest and blatant attempt to influence the outcome of the election. Where's the surprise?

Don't make the mistake to think this isn't happening. During our last Governor's election the elite media in Tennessee decided they WANTED THE RAT who was running. So they set out to report ONLY negative stories about US Rep Van Hilleary. Not one postitive story was written. Little mention of what his record was in DC. Slammed him every chance they got. Needless to say it worked. We now have a RAT gov.

The culture war is essentially over and we've already lost. How so? Well, remember when the RATs had to move to the right to win elections? Now, the lefties aggressively campaign to the left, and Republicans have to move left to get elected, especially on social issues.

Here's the other thing...You'd think that in our form of government, when one party controls the executive branch, both houses of congress and the majority of governorships and state legislatures, that party's agenda would be dominant. But guess what...it turns out that the real power is in the hands of those who aren't even elected by the people: educators, media, judiciary and government bureaucrats. Those who control these components of society control society itself. Right now, and for the forseeable future, the left owns of all of those components and they are constantly increasing their power and influence.

The leftist media programmers didn't learn their lesson from the "gay saturation" last year nor the AOL Presents the MTV Super Bowl Half Time Show.

TeeVee viewing is largely a passive experience but every now and then people will get outraged at the insults to their intelligence and push back. A saturated media push against President Bush (with nothing but Ra-Ra for John Kerry) could just motivate people to show the talking heads wrong.

This election could be another day when "Americans threw a temper tantrum" by voting Republican.

Every lying liberal talking face we see is forever harping about the hundred million dollar or so, war chest that the President has raised. They never admit to the 500 million dollars worth of free propaganda time they spend knocking Bush and glorifying that uppity, New England socialist snob that they are trying to force upon us.

I don't believe Fox is going to be much help to us. More and more they seem to be bashing Bush and airing undiluted liberal trash talk and propaganda.

They'll NEVER succeed, BUSH will win by a high margin.

The liberal left are in for quite a shock. They're money will not win them the election, besides they've picked a guy the majority of Americans will never elect as president.
