Rubbish. In this game you are either on defense or offense. Bush is back on his heels desperately playing defense. Elections are lost on defense.

Name one issue or flap in which Bush has clearly prevailed in the PERCEPTION GAME. Trace his descending curve in all the polls. Name one issue among the top four except terorism in which Bush beats Kerry. By the way, terrorism has recently been deemed top problem by 9%.

Time is running out. Incumbents have a hard time comming back because undecideds are undecided because they already do not like the incumbent's record.

Ohio, Mo. and Wis and Fl. are going to decide this election and that means jobs and the PERCEPTION of jobs, barring a terrorist attack. Last month we made 21,000 jobs, most in the public sector. That's the sort of offense that is sure to deliver Ohio.

This is looking more and more like '92 when we were assured all along as the gloom mounted that it was just like '88.

I disagree. The DNC reaction was redily predictable. Almost mechanically so.

His very benign ads were easily a 10 foot stick poked at a landmine.

Besided with the other reports of democrat oversampling in the polls and CNN geting exposed under spinning the democrats who are NOT angry with GW Bush.

Despite the media hype, I don't believe kerry has won the perception game on this. It is obvious this is a political response. Even the AWOL story did not get traction other than in the heads of the media.

If anything, Kerry is loosing ground in his perception as a vietnam vet hero because of the nature and way he obtained medals.

Kerry seems to be running a sprint for the "if the election were held today" poll. Bush is running a marathon from 2002.

If Bush backs down on using 9/11 in his campaign ads, the leftists win. Bush needs a "war room" to respond immediately to these attacks so that don't have an opportunity to infect the entire media. A prompt response could have nipped a lot of this in the bud.

Bush needs to use the clip of the firefighter and him at Ground Zero using the bullhorn to say that those responsible for 9/11 will soon be hearing from America. The GOP should not let the Dems frame the issue and intimidate them about using images of 9/11. Hell, he should even use the carrier image.
