If the repbulcians could presnet their ideas with as much clarity, President Bush would win 64% to 36% (6% nader included.

But I'm somewhat of a Puritan and do believe that certain character and event emphases in the movie are sinful.

Gibson stuck to the Scripture. Any slight perceived deviations were in fact on those areas that are not clear.

Some characters roles were expanded beyond current knowledge but those did not change the story.(the Jew who helped Jesus carry the cross was expanded)

Mary's role kept to known scripture and Catholicism, and Judas seemed accurate.

Any nit picking in these areas is just that.

Nitpicking.

I suppose one could argue that making a film about Jesus would be a sin. But If this were true, then school age kids have been committing sins for as long as I can remember when they put on the Passion Play.

Every other film, play,or book, representation, statue and device would be sinful under your puritan ideas.
