Cool and down to earth? I'll never forget her shoving Mary Wilson from center-stage on the national televised Motown 25th anniversary show. Diane wasn't kidding either.
Mary Wilson could always sing circles around Diane, but was never allowed to shine in The Supremes. Mary wasn't sleeping with Barry Gordy, so I guess she was lucky to be second banana.
