no, the "problem" is that I find all creeds to be nonsensical which contain the mutually exclusive and irreconcilable notions of a just, loving, and merciful god AND a punishment of infinite duration and unpleasantness for whatever finite number of finite-effect sins a person might commit in his finite span of mortal life.

One of these notions must be in error.

Or, at least, that's how I look at it.

YOUR problem, on the other hand, is that you appear eager to see an enemy where there isn't one. This is an attitude I find prevalent among the religious, of ALL creeds, which is one of the principal reasons I do not choose to follow any.
