(we do not have the language, but will shortly)

There's way too much misinformation going around right now. Perhaps one should wait until they know what really is in the bill before calling for it's death. I myself was PO'ed because I though the bill included mandated storage when in fact it doesn't. I've taken a few deep breaths and now I'm waiting to see what the bill will really contain. I'm not going to jump to conclusions based on rumor.

Seems to me that we almost never find out whats really in a (major) bill till after it becomes law. Thake the Patriot act, for example.

The tools exist to find out the text of any legislation - either federal or state. Federally the websites: www.gpoaccess.gov and www.thomas.loc.gov allow one to research the text of a bill at different stages of the legislative process, amendments introduced and status of the bill. Additional information can be obtained by going to the House or Senate websites. As to the states, most information can be accessed from the state's legislative website. As a caveat to the above, sometimes during the legislative process a bill gets renumbered and gets buried in an appropriations bill but, by tracking its history it can usually be found.

If you have a particular interest in a particular bill research it and find out what it REALLY SAYS. An informed people is a powerful people.
