"Those smaller groups are irrelevant until they start producing results."

Really? I think that basil and PistolPaknMama really appreciate that sentiment. With that line of thinking, why bother having other groups? Why bother having more than one auto maker, motorcycle company, senator, representative, state, etc.? How do you know they are not producing results? Because they are not in the news, on the tv, spoken about in Congress by the dems? That can be a good thing, some people shut out others when they here they are affiliated with a certain group. Someone affiliated with the NRA could have a harder time with some people than someone that is affiliated with SAS or GOA, etc. They are not irrelevant just because they are not in the news, etc. They can be producing results in stealth. Your line of thinking would also mean that special forces are irrelevant because we don't hear about a majority of their missions. Sure you can say that they are different, but it's not.

Fight your own battles Looscnn, ya' wuss.

We shouldn't bother.

Why bother having more than one auto maker, motorcycle company, senator, representative, state, etc.?

This is an ideological war: Pro-gun vs anti-gun. To have the pro-gun forces split into separate uncoordinated commands undermines our cause. Having the little pro-gun groups spend their time attacking the big pro-gun groups is completely counter productive. The only thing I have ever heard these little groups do is complain about the NRA.

How do you know they are not producing results? Because they are not in the news, on the tv, spoken about in Congress by the dems?

Yes.

They are not irrelevant just because they are not in the news, etc. They can be producing results in stealth.

Then they can do their fund raising in "stealth" too. I have no intention of wasting any time or money on these little irrelevant groups. As I said, the most effective strategy to pursue in the support of a principled ideology is to sponsor the groups that produce the largest effort and the best results in furthering that ideology.
