"I just wished people realized that gasoline et al has a "shelf life" & if not used within say, 30 days? It'll spoil."

Really? What about my gas can that I use to fill my--push--lawnmower? That gas has been in there since last fall...should I throw it away? FWIW...as the purported cheapskate and packrat, I don't throw away diddly.

I do agree that we oughtta figger out a way to flex our muscles as the largest consumer of the Saudi's only export...we need to find a more reliable producer fer our addiction, then tell the Saudis to go fly a kite!!

FReegards...MUD

"Really?"

Yea, really.

"What about my gas can that I use to fill my--push--lawnmower? That gas has been in there since last fall..."

HA!!
What about it?
Guess you don't need to ask silly questions about the junk in the mower's tank that'll turn 1st to varish and gum-up the carb which'll require its removal & cleaning then, eh?

"...should I throw it away?"

I don't care what you do with it, but *I* wouldn't use it and that's for damned sure.
Let your conscious be your guide with your stale gasoline Mud, & may The Force be with you.

"FWIW...as the purported cheapskate and packrat, I don't throw away diddly."

That's your prerogative, knock yourself out.
FWIW I've known more than my fair share of penny wise & dollar foolish people in my days, and if ya want to know the truth?
One more to the list ain't gonna matter, a bit.

"I do agree that we oughtta figger out a way to flex our muscles as the largest consumer of the Saudi's only export..."

We did.
Detroit's making incredible internal combustion engines these days, using the accumulated knowledge of the past 100 years coupled with super computer modeling for designs & onboard computers for efficiency.
Today's vehicles are making more HP & getting better mileage than ever before in history; which, was in response to the last time the assholes tried to hold us up.

Obviously all that technology & innovation in the world didn't matter a'tall.
Not to the House of Saud, anyway; because, apparently they're up to their old tricks.
Only *this* time it's [supposedly?] meant to have some kind of influence and/or impact on our political process?

"...we need to find a more reliable producer fer our addiction, then tell the Saudis to go fly a kite!!"

Yea, that's true; but, we also really need to start doing something else too, like using our heads?

Their product cannot sit long after its been refined; &, that's just a fact.
So by doing nothing a'tall, sitting back & letting 'em eat their gasoline?

Before long?

...prices *drop* to increase demand.
