I noticed your comments to the Mudboy. I'd have to say that over the course of years, I notice Slim has a considerable record of tolerance for a variety of Republican and conservative positions. He is a principled conservative. But not so 'principled' as to hand Dims political office.

I just thought I'd point out that Slim is a very practical conservative and tolerant of a wide variety of opinion.

Okay, just my two cents. (That's about all they're worth...)

"I noticed your comments to the Mudboy. I'd have to say that over the course of years, I notice Slim has a considerable record of tolerance for a variety of Republican and conservative positions."

To say *nothing* of me, Mr. President.

"He is a principled conservative."

He is that, alright; sometimes, if you watch closely he's so principled he cannot see the forest through the trees, though.
And he's by far alone, I was just as guilty as Mud & any 100 like him.

"But not so 'principled' as to hand Dims political office."

Let us hope not.
Doing so wouldn't be "principled," it'd be stupidity & on a collosal scale.
I've heard a lot of people suggesting this'll be their choice, too; so, there apparently a lot of collosally stupid people, on our side, who must be given a "Come to Jesus" talk before we even get to work dealing with the Liberal-Socialist 'Rats, quislings, theives, & liars.

Now I'm left wondering if there'll be enough time.

"I just thought I'd point out that Slim is a very practical conservative and tolerant of a wide variety of opinion."

Thank you Mr. President, for reiterating such an important point.
However, I've known this Mud-man (& indirectly his lovely family) character for some time, so if he didn't know before I genuinely care about him, his family & their best interests, he does now.
Because I just said so.
Not much I wouldn't do for that guy, & you need to know that.

"Okay, just my two cents. (That's about all they're worth...)"

I say your opin's worth a good deal more than most as far as I'm concerned, always has been, & will remain in the future, too.
So you go right ahead & but-in any time you like, your thoughts will always be welcomed, listened to, and respected by this poster.

That said, lemme tell you both of an "epiphany" (of sorts) I had, which started this past Sunday.
It was very early in the morning, around 7am & I was outside dinking around the yard when my neighbor, out for his morning walk, shows up to chew the fat.

This guy, we'll call him "Rob," is the Vice President for a [very] large, well know & respected organization, the nature of his business not germane to the discussion while his status in the community, by virtue of his position, is.

"Rob's" always been a "conservative" insofar as voting Republican all his 30 years of voting, yet, this man's not all that informed -- IMO -- on many (if any) of the political issues of the day, either; and, therein lies the tale.

I cannot recall exactly *how* the subject of politics came up now, because we were actually talking about the pending construction project to begin this week on my home, when he made a statement out of the blue that really rubbed me the wrong way.

He said, "We'd better get used to the idea of a 'President Kerry' because I think Bush is finished."

This guy isn't nearly as plugged in as even the worst of the lot around here; yet, he was making this matter-of-fact in yo' face comment to me, of *all* people?
WTF.

I didn't persue it, just said, "Think so?", & let it drop.
But I wondered how & where in the hell he got that idea since as I said, he's not (nearly) the Net Rat those of us who frequent the political BBs are.
If "Rob" gets info, it'd have to come from the local rag, WSJ, or alphabet network sewers.

Gave me a *rotten* feeling, because, I know although Rob's no one's "fool," he sure was being successfully shnookered this time just the same, & but-good.

Now switch to this morning (Wed).
I'm listening to the G Man & it's the on-the-hour newscast coming from the ABC shithole in NYC.
It's the usual mindless, brainless & worthless prattle; except, on this break ABC radio's doing a 60 sec "analysis" of the "Kerry Success Story" in the primaries down south.

The pimp newsreader's all glowy with each & every word, & then on comes the flakey ABC shill, George Stephanopolis.
George says, "The reason for John Kerry's tremendous success at the ballot box was due to his Vietnam vet brothers going to bat for him."

Immediately following that "analysis," the same noise talker very dryly says, "Bush is out west on a fundraiser. The President already has in excess of $100 million in his war chest."
That's it.
The way it was said, both the Kerry bit & Bush afterwards, almost made me puke.

Some of things truly good FReepers like Phil Dragoo or Aloha Ronnie have posted concerning the Kerry fruad's background in 'Nam were 180* from Stephanopolis' statement; only, I know the Stephanopolus lies will be accepted as the gospel's truth and as for the real truth?
Can you say, "AWOL"?

It's perfectly clear the Liberal-Socilaist sycophant quislings are going to try to run with that kind of bullshit; moreover, it's also quite clear -- to me -- the filthy quisling scum are ready, willing & able to suck every penny of this POTUS' funds dry IF he's to get his message out, and even then, they're going to screw this guy by negating every penny he spends with their "news" casts.
Just watch.

Then it hit me, the "war" (for me) begins right now.
Time for me to shit or get off the pot; or, permit the Kerry character to take this country even further into the abiss than we already are.
No "gray area" anymore, just black & white.

That this POTUS, regardless of whateverinthehell he's done fiscally, is being attacked by ALL facets of the rabbid left & from every direction has sickened me; and, my position up to that time wasn't helping matters, either.
It also occured to me a very similar campaign against Robinson has been going on for months, and using many of the same or very similar tactics.
It's a simple case of seeing the forest though the trees.

Well Mr. President, I made my decision; Kerry's gonna have to earn it himself because I'm going to do everything in my power to see to it he's denied that office.
Those who'd attack my guys are attacking *me*.
Moreover, if the brainstems behind the Botony Bay Leper Colony permit the worst of their orcs to attack a guy who's allegedly on the same side of the isle as they are?
Than they're not worth a damn, are my enemies, & can kiss my ass.

Enough *is* enough.

Now, I've got to use all my influence, knowledge & skills of pursuation to get this neighbor of mine up to speed & keep him from doing something very stupid, like negating my vote.

Know what they say, Mr. President, that "all politics are local."?

Well for me, this time?

...they're right.
