Even if it is conceded that only consenting adults are relevant to the discussion, the gay/lesbian argument will ultimately lead to unintended and ironic consequences.
The gay/lesbian left argues that marriage, as it is today, unfairly imposes a morality, religious parameters...or boundaries. Ironically, they themselves MUST establish NEW boundaries or they will tacitly permit polygamy and incest. The problem for them is this: on what basis, if not morality, can they DENY polygamy and incest? They will be forced to draw an ethical/moral line, just like those they've thumbed their noses at...or, they will be forced to defend a host of acts that we know, instinctively, are repulsive.

Th ultimate goal of the militant homosexual community is the elimination of religion in our society. It is only via a religious argument that homosexuality is deemed "bad" or improper. Therefore, git rid of the churches (the bible believing ones) and there is no one left to tell them that what they do is wrong. How will allowing them to marry get rid of churches - if they succeed to get marriage redefined as a civil right for everyone, then they can demand a church to marry them, and when it declines, they will sue them into nonexistence for violating their civil rights. Laugh all you want at this preposterous thought, but did anyone think that we would even be having this debate 25 years ago???
