Is it just me, or was that jackass judge ignoring the obvious when he failed to uphold California law, there-by allowing still more marriage certificates to be issued. Why didn't he haul the mayor and other city officials into court to answer for their b.S. tactics? That is his duty you know. He is to uphold the law.

Bill O'R says Arnie should go in and make arrests for disorderly conduct.

When the marriages are invalidated, will the "married" homosexuals sue for enforcemnt? Will they get a refund? Will they get to sue for damages? Who will pay the damages?

The mayor will have to be arrested in order to avoid liability so the state can claim an intervening surpervening criminal act. Otherwise it is liability class action city. HomoRichtsCoalition is propably preparing the pleadings.

Most definitely. They want this in front of the Ninth Circuit ASAP.

Will they get a refund?

No.

Will they get to sue for damages?

You betcha.

Who will pay the damages?

California taxpayers.

He "encourages" SF to obey the law???

Is he the governor or what? Would he be so sanguine if the mayor decreed that he wasn't sending any tax money to Sacramento because he didn't believe in it?
No wonder SF is still defiant. No one has the stones to smack them down.

Of course he's ignoring the law, because he's heeding his ideological patrons in the RINO wing of the CAGOP. Michael Huffington anyone?

No, it's not just you, you got a lot of help. You fought hard to get this destructive weasel elected, a man who may turn out to be a more effective liar than Clinton. You were warned that he might turn out to be WORSE than Bustamante, simply because he would be more effective at crushing conservative candidates in favor of "moderates." Now his people are salting elections with Log Cabin Republicans. Congratulations, maybe next time you'll have learned. Next time comes in two weeks.

Now, have you heard about Bill Jones questionable dealings in the ethanol scam?

The Gov. supports the will of the people as expressed in
their overwhelming vote declaring marriage as the union of
one man and one woman in matrimony. But why hasn't the Gov.
acted to stamp out the civil disobediance of the odd Mayor
of SF?

One of the Lesbians who got a phony Marriage Licence from
SF was party to another phony marriage here in the Peoples
Republic of Boulder CO .An Assistant DA said CO law had an
age requirement but said nothing about man and woman.
To his credit the State AG ,at the time read the law and
found the Boulder civil disobediance of 1975 Illegal. The
Les bain declared if the SF phony marriage is not declared legal--she intends to go to Boston, and try there(with someone else?)These people would be entertaining if they
wasn't such a waste.

I heard the judge on Fox and Friends who said that the citizen of SF and the state can sue SF for this behavior.

Fornicalia (er, California) based Freepers might want to head down there and get some of these. When this flap is over they will fetch a pretty penny on eBay. Hey JimRob why don't you and John go down there too... the law doesn't forbid brother and brother, only brother and sister... think of the stuff for FR you can get with what this will sell for on eBay.....

(OK, before I get banned for this, tongue SLIGHTLY in cheek...:-)

Yes, the legal implications of this are pretty extensive.

Governors are always reluctant to intervene in local issues, and they do so very slowly, only when everything else has failed.

Arnie obviously said something only after the courts had indicated that they basically wanted to drag their heels and allow as much time as possible for these people to "marry" so that it would be much harder to undo afterwards.

Now I hope he actually goes out and DOES something, because this situation is blatantly illegal and is meant to override state law.

And no matter what happens, as Jim said, the California taxpayer is going to be anteing up as usual.

Let me get this straight. They removed Roy Moore for posting the Ten Commandements(not upholding the law?) but these judges and the governor who refuse to take action against those who refuse to uphold the law are allowed to continue.

This is a State issue. What does the Ninth Circuit have to do with it?
