Lately, it's not often that I agree with Bill O'reilly...however, when it comes to the judicial activism we are witnessing throughout the country, O'reilly is the ONLY one talking about it. And he is right-on when he talks about this problem rising to the level of anarchy. This is more than about Gay Marriages. When we have a judiciary...and elected politicians such as this mayor, who usurp the popular law of the land, what reason exists for others to obey such laws? Judge Roy Moore lost his job for defending what he believed was his Constitutional right to display the 10 Commandments...and yet, a Superior Judge in California has refused to block the unconsititutional marriages of homosexuals, as prohibited by California law. It's bad enough that we have judges who think it is their job to legislate from the bench, but even worse are those judges (and elected officials) who choose to blantantly ignore laws that exist for ideological reasons. The very people who attack Ashcroft for being incapable of enforcing federal laws becasue of his ideological views, are themselves guilty of that very thing. The same people, by the way, who continue to obstruct President Bush's judicial nominees. The Culture War continues...

It is frightening that such a small percent of the population has such influence as to dominate the majority. If they get their way on this basic matter, will they not exercise an untoward dominance over the majority on other matters too.

It's time to impeach and disbar judges who blatantly ignore LAW.

It's time to make those "churches" who break the law and who choose to support/perform Phaggot unions lose their tax-exempt status permanently.

"Talking Points" has demonstrated numerous times that the city of San Francisco, the federal appeals court based in that town and many officials there, are trying to change this country using anti-democratic methods.

The problem here stems from the complicit judiciary.

I like that idea. Refusing to pay taxes sounds like a good place to start, let's defund the buggers.

This is a bit off topic, but want to hear something hysterically funny?

There was a thread on DU bashing the Netherlands for threatening to expel 26,000 immigrants, mostly Muslims, as not qualifying for asylum. They were moaning about how the evil neocons have even taken over Holland, tossing out the poor peaceful Muslims. Then someone reminded them that Muslims are anti-gay. Oh, man! Toss the bums out then!

What a distorted, convoluted system of 'values' the Democrats operate from!

Just heard the Mayor of SexFreakcity claiming how proud he was to do this and the words of some city cluck officiate an abomination (they called it a ceremony, ceremonies have honor) and end it with the words "and by the authority vested in me by the state of California I now pronounce you spouses for life!" Hey cluck, the California does not vest that authority in you California Law specifically prohibits "Gay Marriage!"

The Mayor and all of the city employees that participated in this farce need to be arrested for malfeasance in office at a minimum.

We The People ought to DEMAND law-breakers be put in jail.

It does not matter what the law may be in the future - it matters what it is now.

Law breakers are getting away with way too much.

The silence is deafening from the progressive community, which demanded the commandments be removed, citing the law ironically enough.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! Finally someone gets it.

"Can't wait for the "right" to get a spine and start ignoring laws they do not agree with..."

Omigosh, that was exactly my first thought.

MLK, Jr. said once that the highest form of obedience to God was the refusal to obey unjust laws. Jefferson (I think) said that "Disobedience to tyrants is obedience to God." We need more civil disobedience in this country, from the Right.

Gee I wonder what the headlines would be instead of...

"Hundreds of loving, compassionate, devoted gay couples only trying to unify their love by fighting this evil homophbic law"

It would be

"3,000 right wing wackco gun nuts law breakers, etc."

Wait until they file joint income tax statements. Maybe the IRS will then follow the law.

Aside from the problems this case highlights of judicial as well as government activism, this strongly shows how the gay and lesbian community will ignore one of their main arguments to achieve the goals they desire.

For years, when gay/lesbian groups are asked about legalization of homosexual marriage their cry is to "allow the voters to decide" well the voters of California already decided by passing a DOMA making marriage legal only between a man and a woman.

The gay/lesbian community not only ignores the states constitution they are ignoring the will of the very people they claim to give a voice too.

Actually I thought that perhaps the right should "ride a little harder" with Toby Keith.

Take all of the rope in Texas/ find a tall oak tree, round up all all of them bad boys./Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that/
Justice is the one thing you should always find/ you got to saddle up your boys/ you got to draw a hard line
....

Other than that, if we go for chaos(no law) - will there be a bag limit on greenies?
