Senator Heinz of Pennsylvania was killed in a plane crash in the early 1990's. He was a good man (and conservative) I met him on one occasion. Teresa Heinz seemed to have gone off the socialist deep end after the death of her husband and all that wealth...
"In recent months, 27 national and local grass-roots anti-war groups got grants — mostly $5,000 to $30,000 — from the Iraq Peace Fund of the San Francisco-based Tides Foundation. A new Tides initiative is trying to raise $1 million more.
A Tides beneficiary, United for Peace and Justice, is the national coalition that organized large New York City marches on Feb. 15 and March 22."
