Kerry probably only agreed to make his appearance today with the stipulation that the topic only be brushed upon, and then swiftly brushed off. I'm sure Kerry realizes that the question had to be asked so he allowed Imus to ask.

Oh, I dunno. I think Imus marches to his own drummer. I don't listen to Imus much because I don't find his schtick entertaining. I believe that Imus chose the direction of this morning's interview, and isn't amenable to direction from his guests.

I do agree with the speculation that Kerry will either deny or "no comment" the story. My intuition is that one object of the media and DNC is to paint this as an RNC-planted story, and another object is to paint any person who is taken aback by the story as a busybody.

I haven't had the opportunity to catch Imus. So what your saying is that even if the producers of his show restricted his format, he would play it the way he wants?
Yes I'm waiting for the DNC to start pointing fingers at the RNC for fabricating this story. Or have they done it already??
