The principal of the city's controversial new high school for gays and lesbians has been replaced following a tumultuous fall term that saw several of its students charged with criminal activity.

Daniel Rossi, previously director of an alternative high school in Manhattan, will replace William Salzman as the new head of Harvey Milk HS at Astor Place.

and later five transgendered students were arrested for posing as prostitutes, then shaking down their tricks for cash and credit cards after claiming to be undercover cops.

Proud products of the NYC Public School system. I suppose at least they did not shoot or rape anyone. The fact they did not stab or assault anyone actually should qualify them for Honor Student status.
