I've been watching some news coverage about President Reagan. I was a little too young to appreciate what a great president he was when he was in office, but watching some of the retrospectives make me realize just how great he was. He stood up to Communism/Socialism/Marxism with a quite confidence that I have never seen in any other politician. He had a "real person" quality to him that was genuine. Bush doesn't seem so great compared to Reagan.

They showed his address to the nation when the Challenger exploded. He took the time to talk to any children that were listening and said something that people should be mindful of today:

"The future doesn't belong to the faint hearted, it belongs to the brave"

I got to vote for him once, Nixon was the first time I voted. Wish I was around for Ike and Goldwater!

"He had a "real person" quality to him that was genuine. Bush doesn't seem so great compared to Reagan."

They didn't dub him The Great Communicator for nothing.

Likewise people didn't dub Klinton The Great Stainmaker for nothing.

Moreover, despite what the leftist media tell you, Reagan wrote his own speechs, unlike Bush, and also wrote poetry.

Regan exuded leadership, affability, toughness and confidence. My favorite president.
