>>>They are obviously counting on their countrymen to have been smoking opium to believe in reincarnated Usay and Qusay and Saddam not imprisoned any longer.

In all fairness to how the propaganda machine works in the ME....

The Iraqi citizens that Saddam and sons story is for...don't get their news the same way we do.

Remember Usay and Qusay were brought to the Baghdad airport and put on display for citizens to come see? This was done because Iraqi's are conditioned not to trust the news. They are from a regime that doesn't trust the government.

News that is believed in Iraq is spread by, "Toufic's brother knew a guy that heard from blah, blah, blah". So Usay and Qusay were on display to help spread the word of mouth blah, blah.

Cause seeing it on TV or in the paper wouldn't be credible.

Now, the news of Saddam escaping, Usay and Qusay hitting the wires is NOT for us. That is to set propaganda in motion for "They are here, they are here" blah, blah.

So it has nothing to do with citizens being on opium. This is counter psyops to stir distrust and insight the civil war.

I was being glib about the possibility of believing the sons were alive after the bodies had been shown in public. I realize the citizens don't have trust in the media and their actions and reactions are different than ours.

I also believe propaganda is universal, not just in Iraq. Governments use it liberally to get the reactions they deem necessary for their own use. The various religious factions in Iraq are and have been ready for civil war for centuries and Al Qaeda is doing its best to antagonize. I will state "sarcasm" in the future to avoid misinterpretation.
