Federal agents busted a major drug operation that moved hundreds of pounds of cocaine each month into Chicago, authorities said Thursday.
Ten men -- including six from the Chicago area -- were charged this week for working in the operation, which brought drugs from Texas to Chicago. The arrests followed a bust at a South Side trucking company where more than 660 pounds of cocaine was seized this week.
When cut and sold on the streets, the drugs found this week were valued at more than $92 million, said special agent Richard Sanders, head of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Chicago office.
