Is it time to boycott Heinz?
self | 2/3/04

A thought occurred to me this morning: every time someone purchases a bottle of Heinz ketchup or 57 sauce (or any other Heinz product), aren't they potentially donating to the Kerry campaign?

Is it time for a Freeper boycott of Heinz products?

There are other American made ketchups, mustards, hot sauces, grilling sauces, barbecue sauces, pickles, etc.

You could always switch your buying power to one of those. The money would still be going to American workers and the other companies could use a boost of new loyal customers.

A boycott could do wonders for him.

Especially since he's dead!

Personally - and this has nothing to do with Teresa Heinz - I think ketchup ruins food. So I don't use any ketchup at all. Or any condiment for that matter. Except olive oil, which enhances the foods it is poured on instead of drowning out its flavor.

It ain't green chile burritos, or bottled water, or Butt Wipe, so I guess I am Kerry-free.

Is that your steady diet or just your "must have this brand" products?

Would be nice to stick it to him on that during the race.

Also to hit him hard in the area of gutting intelligence funding.

Little folks got to pay for fancy new football stadium company built for loozer team...
I used to work for them. The we'uns got sold to new massas, which treats us much better.

We git molassas wit our gruel now.
Heinz is headed in to subsidiary status in the next 2-3 years.

The minimum wage thing is an old issue, it would just be good to be up on the current rates paid to election workers this cycle. Keep it in your pocket as a response when the Rats (any candidate) brings up low wages.

Heck I've read accounts of Democrats who worked "knock and drag" and then were threatened with no pay for anyone on the team after things like a hammer disappear. Certainly that can't be legal.

This is going to be a FR exclusive: Here goes:

For years I worked at Wainwright Cold Storage (now out of business) as an accountant in Pittsburgh. We would hold most of Heinz Foods fresh products.

For a long time I was wondering why on earth we stored so many carrots for Heinz.

One day I had the situation of visiting the plant where they actually make Ketchup. I wanted to see where our stored products went.

Here is the clinker. "Almost 50% of Heinz Catsup is CARROTS". Oh, it doesn't say it on the bottle in the ingredients. To this day, it is still one of the best kept secrets in the industry.

Now you know.

If the dead walk on election day to vote Democrat, how can any other illegal activity surprise any of us?

I agree. I believe that they have a prenup anyway. I found it interesting that she is an African-American. Her father was a doctor and she was born in Africa, but I missed the part of Africa that she is from. She is kind of dippy.

Thank you for your respectful answer, which I take as a "no" vote on the boycott question.
