Senator John McCain stood up to Imus on this one! Imus comments that proof of an allegation is not on the accuser because "it doesn't work that way" speaks volumes to me.

Clintons are behind the resurfacing and using their friends in the press to spread the allegations that are without fact. IMO, the Clintons are running this DemocRAT primary for the sole purpose of trashing Pres Bush during the primary season. Kerry was annointed by the Clintons and why the convention was put in Boston. Dean came in and upset plans, so they first jumped on the Edwards bandwagon and got Clark in the race as a new face and in the process started their work in taking out Dean. It worked and after today, would expect Kerry to be carrying the banner for the RATs even stronger. The RAT candidates won't be dropping out so that the race can continue on and the bashing for Pres Bush continue by all the RAT candidates.

IMHO, the DemocRAT Primary is nothing but a farce -- light bulb came on last night that this whole RAT primary has been a farce with the sole intent to destroy Pres Bush's numbers and his credibility during the RAT Primary season. It was and has been orchestrated by the Clintons because Clintonites are involved in all the major candidate campaigns.

BTW -- the bold is mine.

I watched the interview this morning. The one thing that I noticed is that McCain was "barking" as he made his reply. The words did not quickly come to him and were difficult to find and say.

Barking= a lot of ers, ahs, but , I-I-I type of words used as one speaks.

That's not normal for McCain who is generally pretty straight forward. I'm not saying he didn't believe what he was saying, but clearly he seemed uncomfortable.

I so totally agree with you. I have said for months now that the Clinton's are behind these horrific attacks on the President. The almost 24/7 bashing that has taken place since last year has all been by design with the media working to destroy him at the urging of Bill and Hillary Clinton. This reeked of them from the very beginning.

Unfortunately, even many here at FR have joined the bandwagon because the President doesn't share all of their views. The frightening thing is, they are helping the real enemies of our freedom and our constitution with no regard for the consequences. If President Bush doesn't do every single they want, they will do all they can to destroy him and bring about a real socialist government to "teach republicans a lesson!" I certainly wish they would realize what they are really doing before it is too late.

Some points:

1. Any National Guard outfit can be federalized by Executive Order. No declaration of war or other acts of Congress needed.

2. Most of the soldiers slaughtered on Omaha Beach were National Guardsmen which is why a small town in Virginia (Bedford) lost more men per capita than any community.

3. Compare Clinton to Bush: leading anti-American demos in London and doing who-knows-what on that trip to Moscow versus volunteering for the Guard.

Kerry knows his precious VVAW can't stand up to real scrutiny. Kerry knows his scruffy, hippie dressed, flag desecrating VVAW comrades would harass soldiers in uniform, transitting through airports during the war. Kerry knows that his VVAW would spit on soldiers in uniform,if they kept their eyes forward and refused to listen to their anti military propaganda. Kerry knows that his VVAW plotted to blow up buildings, just like the Weathermen. Domestic terrorists, anyone ?? Which is why Kerry and McAuliffe have to create a diversionary tactic-they know that one of Kerry's major vulnerabilities,is the VVAW.

I'm actually amazed he did that. Wait till Bush does answer and reminds people that Kerry was a war protestor. Wait for the howls then.

The only evidence that he didn't show up in Alabama, is that his records were never transferred back to his home unit when he returned. People remember seeing him there (aside from the unit commander, who has no idea), but no contemporary statements that he wasn't there. Also, at the time of the assignemt, he was a pilot for a plane that had been decommissioned.

Military units care where their own people are. They only care where other units people are when there is a problem, and are seldom concientious about forwarding records when people they are only tangentially responsible for leave. I know that multiple times I had to go back and get records for training that were supposed to have been forwarded - and that was during a time when admin was generally actually functional, rather than during the draw-down of Vietnam.

You are absolutely right. The plan was to run as many candidates as they could, each one setting out to bash President Bush around the clock in every venue imaginable. That's why hardly anyone has dropped out. They've been INSTRUCTED to stay in for the exclusive purpose of scorched earth against an honorable man.

.... light bulb came on last night that this whole RAT primary has been a farce with the sole intent to destroy Pres Bush's numbers and his credibility ...

Mentioned this to you some time back. It was obvious from the get-go, having as many Demlibrat candidates as possible, hitting on PresBush day after day, week after week was the plan. The Clintonistas are responsible. Specifically, Bill Clinton's fingerprints are all over this strategy. Der schlickmeister knew Bush wouldn't respond in the early stages of the nomination process.

When the Bush campaign does decide to respond, I don't think the nominee is gonna like it. Did you hear that John "The Schmuck" Kerry?!
