Limbaugh supporters flood attorney's office with e-mails
By John Pacenti, Palm Beach Post Staff Writer Saturday, January 31, 2004
WEST PALM BEACH -- State Attorney Barry Krischer's Office received more than 15,000 e-mails this week from ditto-heads -- the supporters of conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh, who is fighting to avoid prescription fraud charges.
Limbaugh put Krischer's e-mail address on his Web site Wednesday afternoon. By Friday morning, the Limbaugh camp was so worried that the flood of e-mails would crash Krischer's computer system that the address was taken off, according to sources close to Limbaugh.
Mike Edmondson, Krischer's spokesman, confirmed the receipt of the mass of e-mails. Nearly all of the e-mails supported Limbaugh, and some came from prosecutors and law enforcement, the sources said.
Limbaugh posted Krischer's e-mail address in response to other Web sites that also were carrying it but urging Limbaugh's prosecution.

Krischer got hung with his own petard. He indicated in court that his pursuit of Limbaugh was influenced by the volume of e-mails he had received demanding prosecution. Limbaugh just decided that, if that was the case, Krischer might also benefit from getting a few with an opposite point of view.

Hate to rain on the parade here. But 15,000 emails represents about 750 man hours of effort. Krischer's office effort was about 7 seconds. Select all, delete.
About the only thing achieved here was catharsis for the sender.
Inorder to be truly effective it would would require Krischer's work email address. Which looks like this

I mailed mine through Rush's site, and I wouldn't bet on them not having the right address.

Randi Rhoads and other liberal sites have been urging people to send email prosecuting Rush. That's one of the reasons the Krischer was trying to find ways to prosecute, precedent be damned.
What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Maybe he will stick to what he's supposed to next time, instead of sticking his hands in a political meat grinder to please the Dem party.

Just e-mailed one:
"Please give up your job as an Officer of the Court and join the DNC. You are absolutely pathetic!"

The general information email addy is going to have little effect. Easily deleted en masse without perusal.
