No conservative is allowed to by ads in the NYT.
Au contraire! If the ad is a snarling assualt on the President by a "Conservative " Icon, then they are more than happy to run an ad .Micael Savage fills their stereotype beautifully and his vitriol ought to help lubricate more hit pieces.
Well, I always said the New York Times was good for a laugh. This practice puts them on the same par as your average, everyday garden-variety comic book. (With apologies to the comic book industry for the insult.)
Everybody has good ideas about what they want government to do and some groups have a lot of influence and money to donate. That, in part, is why government keeps growing. I don't know what Bush can do about private enterprise and the legal choices that private industry make. If you blame Bush, then the next Republican President might do a better job, but I doubt that the next Democrat President will.
A pity Master Rove doesn't share that sentiment.
Here's something for you to meditate on: A real leader leads by example, rather than by trying to bully people around.
The more the bots demand that we ignore the raging liberalism in Roveville... and demand that we vote "R", regardless of how much the "R" candidate flees from the "R" tradition, goals, and platform, the less inclined more and more people will be to leave their homes on election day.
You want to see everyone pull together? Then tell Rove to stop directing his agent to keep pulling away.
It's that simple.
But I forgot. Bush owes us nothing. See my tagline for the details.
Hey, I can live with that. I can accept Bush owing us nothing. No problemo.
It's just that business about us owing him EVERYTHING that tends to stick in the throat.
You keep pushing, and we'll keep withdrawing.
Because Bush is a mexiphile, and, he's intimidated by that big ol' machismo hombre, Fox. Bush gets around Fox, and you can see it in his eyes. Fox struts around like the alpha male, and Bush acts like a child. Weak gestures, silly expressions, milquetoast demeanor... it's obvious that he's intimidated by Fox.
Sad, ain't it.
Get real. We'll have that whichever party wins. Or haven't you been keeping up with the news?
This really says it all.
And Savage is correct on this issue.
We were weary from eight years of Caligula, so we elected Nero.
You support a dictator who pisses away our nation, our wealth, our lives, and our future -- a man, who, if doing these things under the "D" banner, would doubtless receive your wrath and condemnation -- and, you demand that we join in on your rah-rah.
This isn't "politics". This is sports. Yay, team. Be true to your school.
Well, I've got news for you. Life is not a game. Your team may win, your team may lose, but when both teams are playing by the same rules, it doesn't matter at all, when you analyze it.
Get back with me when the "R" party gets back to its roots. I have no interest in sports.
"¡Las vivas, Jorge!"
"¡Y a tú, Señor Presidente!"
