I don't know at all about that specific post Molly clicked on...

I will say as a webmaster, I get IP numbers from people just clicking onto my website. They don't have to register or sign in. Just enter any of my sites. I know what day that IP visited, how many files were viewed, if they downloaded anything, etc.

So if the webmaster of CNV is 'not nice' (I'm just speculating)...well, enough said.

Yes, they are the visiter logs that we can check. They are pretty mundane and innocent.

I think it is possible that visitors to a site -- if they have pre-existing holes in their computer security -- can be attacked just by virtue that anyone lurking there with bad intentions can do some digging and spot them if they want to. That is the case with any Internet site. Hackers and crackers (I know the two groups hate to be lumped together!) are everywhere. But if Molly is saying that the site -- CNV2 -- itself is doing something malicious in a proactive way via programming and code, etc., well, I just cannot buy that entirely. I do not believe they employ java or require a download of any particular program or plug to lurk or post at the site.

Good point, I had thought about the IP logging, I have been a webmaster but have never had to run secure servers or sites where security was a concern.

I would be interested to know if anyone else has EOM show up on any financial statements though.
