I don't think this is Lehane. Look at the dates on those articles; they're from last year, when Lehane still worked for Kerry. Well this story did appear in the Boston Globe
First campaign ends in defeat - By Brian C. Mooney, Globe Staff, 6/18/2003
To win the primary, the newcomer overcame the election eve arrest of his brother, Cameron, and campaign field director Thomas J. Vallely, both then 22, in the basement of a Lowell building that housed the headquarters of Kerry and another Democratic contender, state Representative Anthony R. DiFruscia of Lawrence. It was almost 2 a.m. - 30 hours before the polls opened - when the two were arrested on charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny.
That day's Sun blared a memorable, double-deck headline: "Kerry brother arrested in Lowell `Watergate."' DiFruscia, getting some extra ink in the campaign's waning hours, had drawn the parallel to the break-in at Democratic headquarters in Washington three months earlier.

I hope this isn't the same Vallely who appears frequently on FoxNews.

Is Mary Beth Cahill still Ketchup Boy's campaign manager? If so, with her around, who needs to worry about Lehane? I read last night that Gephardt's Chief of staff, Steve Elmendorf is now working for Kerry
Kerry makes switch, hires Gephardt's staff chief

Colliers is involved with Lippo in multimillion contracts in Indonesia. Kerry, who has a blind trust run by members of his family, claims he knows nothing about his cousin's business deals or affiliations. Interesting ... thanks for the infor Kcvl

Yep. Politics is a contact sport. The trick is to get the dirt on yourself out at the right time (not too early, and not too late). Bush not getting out the DUI earlier made the election most interesting (had to know if that was what caused the drop, or his misstep on social security, or just Dems coming home and Gore's on the ground machine, but something did). Bush did a favor for political psephologists and political junkies everywhere.

I wonder if this is what Sean was talking about.

Dean supporters are pushing back. Backlash against the media and establishment push against Dean is ripe to happen in New Hampshire where the liberals are more liberal and the voters more ornery than in Iowa.

You must be a big fan of the Zogby poll. Who knows what will happen. I have decided that in this election cycle, I just can't predict what Democrats will do in primaries. (The Dems in the hunt really don't disagree on anything much, so it is just one of those instinctual things as to who the Dems think has the right stuff to beat Bush, while being perceived as no more than one standard deviation away from the median human stability index.) I am worthless.
