How are we insisting that law enforcement agencies are acting responsibly with their new expansive powers? The default answer seems to be, their only responsibility is to use their powers. That isn't right. We have gained nothing if we are made a police state.

I agree with him that we must take the war to the terrorists overseas. Go get them, Dubya and Rummy! Root them out of their holes in the ground. Eradicate them like the vermin they are.

But don't forget: ultimately it is the responsibility of the Iraqis to clean up their own mess. We cannot, should not, do this for them.
