You are very much on target, with a few exceptions.
Hillary will be the decider, not Bill. She is the power today.
Plan is to have a very weak Dean ahead at end of primaries. Then message will be, "We will soon nominate a candidate who won primaries, but can't win general election."
Party hacks, Jimmy Carter, Coretta Scott King, Jessie Jackson, will "beg' Hillary to run "for good of country/party" after a few "gee I wonder who commissioned those polls" are released.
Remember, in current national polling among Dems, with Dean, Kerry, Edwards, Gephardt in poll, all score about 18/20+%
Throw Hillary into the mix, they drop to about 11-12% and Hillary is close to 50%.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1059509/posts Iowa selects the losers," said Clark senior adviser Chris Lehane. "The people who (campaign but) don't win in Iowa are essentially done. The people who do win in Iowa don't win the election." Everyone knows it's true, but only Clark was willing to bet his candidacy on it.

The question is, who gave her the coat? No way would the story about trading in a 25 year old coat for a new number result in an even exchange, and the article says someone else bought it and she has not been billed.
I say it ought to be looked into.
I know better than to think it will be. (Dinner wasn't QUITE ready, BBL)
