"Until you figure out that you have to convince a majority of voters before any politician will do as you wish, you are doomed to be nothing more effective than a worthless name calling and complaining loser."
Wow, Tator, that's pretty blunt. But actually, I think you were being kind when you gave him 3%. I haven't found anyone who agrees completely with me. (And if I did, I wouldn't trust them.) The question isn't whether one has to compromise in order to get some measure of victory. The question is whether one can live with himself afterwards. Truth is, we have survived a lot of really bad policies and decisions through the years. The nation is more resilient than we sometimes give it credit for.

"You (CONSERVATIVES) have no standing (with Bush) pal. Nobody (Mushy Moderates) cares if you (CONSERVATIVES) vote for him or not. Move along."I have, and I've taken my vote with me.

Deanie Weenies at DU drinking the Kool-Aid: "The grassroots died tonight.... The campaigns of Gephardt (Unions), Kucinich (activists) and Dean were stomped today by the monied interests of the party...."
"OK...everybody over to Chili's for a big celebration, Dubuque style!"

Dean on MSNBC not looking happy!
Rasman telling his story about Kerry came back to save him after he swam under water for quite a distance.
The fifth time he came up for air, Kerry's boat was there and Kerry pulled him own with a wounded arm.
Kerry got a bronze star.

Didn't Kerry throw his medals back at the White House?

The Doctor is saying if anyone told him he would be third in Iowa a year ago he would have been thrilled. Now saying he will win in NH and win the nomination.

Has anyone checked in at DU?

DGIH, clueless. Totally clueless. This is the group who will be cheering loudly at the Dem. Convention, even as they hold their signs upside down. Clueless.

Evidently, Kerry is a Vietnam vet, who knew? do you have a link? what's your source?
To: Democratshavenobrains
Okay - was just wondering about them. LOL
To: Indy Pendance
Same for Clark, IMO.

Doesn't that revelation warrant it's own thread in breaking news?

Yep, it's the (stupid) women voting for Edwards! Then he should win in Iowa. At least judging from the women I saw in the caucuses...

Dubuque has a tram up the bluff. But it's a bit cold to party on it this time of year.
Other than that--and hams--I don't remember much from my visits to Dubuque.
