We've all concluded Weasley Clark is a "stalking horse" for Hillary and the Clintonian Sleaze Wing of the party.
I'm beginning to think, though, that Weasley may be more than a "stalking horse", designed to unhorse Dean. He may also be a "decoy", designed to deflect attention from Edwards. And that Edwards may, in fact, be the "annointed" one.
Recall how readily he made the decision not to defend his senate seat. He seemed confident that he would end up on the ticket, so there was no need to hedge his bet (as even Joe Lieberman wisely did).
I think you're spot on there. Despite his inexperience and ambulance-chasing past, he's a guy a lot of Independents and liberal Pubbies could support. ..... he's personally likeable, refrains from the usual mud-throwing, displays none of the policy inconsistencies of the others, .....very dangerous, indeed.
But where to you think Hillary fits in to this picture? His VP? 'Cause if Edwards happens to win, old Hill has to wait until 2012 to make her run ......something I don't think she's willing to do.
