"Not to get to far ahead of events, but does Dean break off and go third party if things go bad for him?"

Newt Gingrich appeared on C-Span a few weeks ago, and predicted two paths for Dean, both being bad overall, for democrat party:

1. Dean gets dem nomination, gets whacked.

2. Dean doesn't get dem nomination; and runs as Green candidate.

I can't understand this; how will his flakes now support Edwards, and not Dean?

"Hello, my name is dansangel - and my only child is a Kucinich supporter."

:-(

Can't wait to call and ask her that very question.

Looks like the Breck guy(Edwards) is going way left.

Edwards has been playing the moderate dem candidate .. but he needs the wacky left .. looks like he got some .. not many, but some from Kucinich

It's pretty disgusting. She (?) could use a wax job. But, judging by that photo, I don't think she's over concerned about her appearance.

Prayers for dansangel coming right up!

Bless your heart. She lives outside of DC and her stance has made for some *interesting* long-distance discussions.

*I* pray she'll come around one of these days......

I think that Dean's candidacy has existed to draw the Greenie Weenies' support all along. He's been drawing them already and when he drops out, the Rats hope that his endorsement will keep the yellow dogs on the plantation rather than nosing around some other third party.

A lot has been made about the Green Party drawing too many votes from the Democrats in Florida. If you look at the butterfly ballot, you will see several Socialist and Communist parties. I did the math and added up their votes. The communist/socialist vote (excluding Green socialists) cost the Rats Floriduh.

The Democrats don't care where the votes come from so long as they don't have "too many" siphoned off to other parties.

I believe that Dean is a prop candidate designed to speak hatred against President Bush and catch flak. Some have suggested that Edwards will be the real candidate. Could be Kerry. Doubt it will be Dean or Clark.

Someone was concerned about her appearance because I've actually seen a version posted that had some of the body hair digitally smeared to mute it down.

My very conservative, 83 year old mother (who lives with me) and I hosted my liberal sister and her husband for a few days at Christmas. I hate to report that we were glad to see them go. (I never knew mom understood the concept of high-fiving.) We'd heard about all we could stand on income equality, where are the WMD's, and how wonderful Hillary, Frankin, et al are. On their last day, I wore my 43 Bush jersey and served them orange juice in my President George W. Bush glasses. Mom and I are still wondering how they came to be that way. LOL.

Let us know what she says. We're *not* calling my husband's brother--who showed up at the family Christmas dinner wearing a Kucinich t-shirt---to get his take. We'll just let it lie...

I agree that at least half of Kucinich voters will vote for Dean despite the Edwards endorsement.

The Kucinich voters are hard-core Stalinists, and Edwards is WAY too centrist for them.

Too funny. Lieberman and Edwards are probably the two most in favor of the Iraq war. Maybe he just wants Edwards to send him some numbers from his little black book.

Well, that's pretty interesting that someone somewhere was worried about the delicate sensibilities of those who would be viewing that photo. Eeeeuw.

You *ROCK* Quilla!

.45MAN and I visited my very liberal, JFK-era parents over Christmas and nearly all came to blows. We called a truce the next day and all made a vow to not discuss politics or religionfor the duration of the visit.

I have only myself to blame for my daughter's wayward leanings. I slowly moved to the right over klintoon's reign and finally was "knocked off the fence" over to the *right* side by .45MAN in '97 when we met.

[sigh] I really think that one day she'll wise up, just as I did. I have to be patient....

Mo, MSNBC reporting that Memo: Dennis Kucinich and John Edwards' WIFE have been hanging around together in Iowa!

It's her. We need to find a link between Mrs. Edwards and Hillary.
