Go HERE to get a mugshot of the guy; maybe you could import it if you know how to do it.

Deal ain't pretty.

A Grand Prairie homeowner, with a concealed handgun license, says two men stormed his home and forced him to withdraw cash. He says he felt his life was in danger before he fatally shot them. Should he have been arrested on capital murder charges?

Put up a sign in the police department saying "It's about getting the BAD guys, stupid!"

Read #66. There are reasonable doubts about Deal's claims.

How do you shoot someone in the back of the head, in self-defense?

"Deal ain't pretty."

Perverts don't have to be pretty. Do they have the video from the ATM showing the 2 dead guys forcing the victim to withdraw money. They should have at least 2 angles for the ATM (it's a banking reg) one close-up & one more wide angle.

While it does raise questions, don't automatically assume that because someone was shot in the back or in the back of the head, it was not self defense. If you've been holding a gun, or in this case a bat, on me and I am armed, my first chance to get my shot off and save my life might be when you turn your head or turn around for a second. Again, not saying it was right or wrong based solely on that, just that it could still be right.

Now, if it said that the guy was shot in the back of the head while kneeling with his arms bound behind his back...

Ever been in a fight sinkspur? It's not exactly as neat and clean as "Rock'm Sock'm Robots."

If the police can demonstrate it wasn't self-defense, fine. But they'd better also be able to prove the guy wasn't kidnapped or being threatened with physical violence by the two other guys.

When the police take on the appearence of agressively defending two punks who got what they deserved, regardless of the character of the one who delivered it, they diminish the respect of their own badges. The way I see it, if they believe that the guy was kidnapped and threatened with violence, that ought to be enough to diminish their zeal to look much further into it.

Really, they had more evidence than that at the Salem Witch Trials.

Nope, this confirms rather than refuting my insight that the local media is grasping at straws to discredit a case of armed self-defense.

If this was a drug deal gone sour (and there is at least reasonable doubt that it might have been), then a grand jury is the right place to sort this out.

Look, the world is better off without the two dead men. But, Deal may or may not have been in fear of his life. This could have been an execution.

"They may have known about him, may have known he had monies," Detective John Brimmer (pictured, left) said.

and the point of that is...? (Other than to advance the "you don't need a gun because mist people are killed by family members and people they know" agenda)

withdraw cash from an ATM Tuesday morning. ...On the drive home

OK. now it's passed the "just give them the money and they'll leave you alone point".

What is this about?
Is this two different cases?

A Grand Prairie homeowner, with a concealed handgun license, says two men stormed his home and forced him to withdraw cash. He says he felt his life was in danger before he fatally shot them.

On the drive home, Deal, who has a concealed handgun license, says he pulled out a pistol from his pocket and shot Wesley Lewis Duncan, 40, and Wylie Bailey Casey, 35, in the head.

Which is it? Or is it two separate incidents?

Thanks.

Wrong-o.

Unfortunately, there is more to this case - the old man apparently known the two individuals, the old man *had* been involved with drugs/taking drugs.

When the story originally broke - it looked and sounded like he had acted in defense of his life. As time went on and MORE details were released, it has not looked as certain ...

UNFORTUNATELY, most of you "Monday morning QB's" don't have a chance to see the interviews we see locally with some of the neighbors by the TV stations either or the other small details that get aired ...

Grand Prairie, Texas has a majority black population. I think this reflects the soft-on-crime liberal politics of the black majority in this area. Grand Prarie, and Austin are the two areas of Texas with the largest concentration of liberal knuckleheads. This wouldn't have happened anywhere else in Texas.
