temporary worker program that.......temporary worker program will match willing foreign workers with willing American employers when no Americans can be found to fill the jobs. ......undocumented(WEASEL WORD FOR ILLEGAL)
workers currently in the United States will be able to come out of the shadows and establish legal identities. All participants in the program will be issued a temporary worker card that will allow them to travel back and forth between their home and the United States without fear of being denied reentry into our country.
This plan is not amnesty,
(WEASEL WORD REPLACEMENT NEEDED FOR AMNESTY, "Pardon" MAYBE?)
placing undocumented
(ILLEGAL!)
workers on the automatic path of citizenship. I oppose amnesty because
(THE NAME DOESN'T WORK WELL, TRUTH HURTS THE EARS!)
it encourages the violation of our laws
(ACKNOWLEDGES THAT WE SURRENDER TO ILLEGALS VIOLATION OF OUR LAWS)

Last week, I proposed a new temporary worker program that will help further the cause of safe, legal and orderly migration. This temporary worker program will match willing foreign workers with willing American employers when no Americans can be found to fill the jobs. Under this program, undocumented workers currently in the United States will be able to come out of the shadows and establish legal identities. All participants in the program will be issued a temporary worker card that will allow them to travel back and forth between their home and the United States without fear of being denied reentry into our country.
The program will not be temporary, and deportations against President Bush's legalized-Illegals, if they overstay, will not be enforced. How do we know? Because the President doesn't enforce deportation orders now. There are upwards of 400,000 individuals who have received final deportation orders that are hiding in our communities. Their appeals have run out, and those orders tell them, its time to go. But, the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement cant find them! Whats worse, 80,000 of those people have criminal convictions, just like Miguel Angelo Gordoba! They were in the hands of our law enforcement. Can you imagine opening the doors of our prisons and letting 80,000 criminals run back into the streets? Well folks, thats exactly what has happened with these 80,000 criminal aliens. Whats more, 3,800 of those people with final deportation orders are from countries with a known Al-Qaeda presence. Statement of the Honorable Charlie Norwood The CLEAR Act of 2003 July 9, 2003
Compare these figures to those of two years ago... The Justice Department's decision to track down and deport 6,000 Middle Eastern aliens who've been ordered to leave the country attracted howls of protest from all the usual places earlier this week. The government has a list of more than 300,000 deportable immigrants. Deportation Disorder National Review Online John J. Miller & Ramesh Ponnuru | January 10th, 2002
These deportable Illegals from two years ago, in the aftermath of September 11th, are mostly still here, including tens of thousands of hardened, violent criminals, and thousands of Illegals from Al Qaeda nations. If the terror attacks were insufficient to compel President Bush to carry out even the minimum enforcement of the standing deportation orders, then he sure as heck ain't gonna deport any legalized-Illegals down the road. This plan is not amnesty, placing undocumented workers on the automatic path of citizenship. I oppose amnesty because it encourages the violation of our laws and perpetuates illegal immigration. My proposal expects that most temporary workers will eventually return permanently to their home countries when the period of work that I will be negotiating with the Congress has expired. And I think it's important to give financial incentives to those workers in order for them to make the decision to return home permanently.
Of course it's Amnesty. The President desires to give Amnesty to Illegals in stages. Since there is nothing truly "temporary" about the President's so-called "guest worker" legalization of Illegals, and since this President won't deport them or enforce our immigration laws against them, now or in the future, then we will have millions of Illegal "guest workers" in our country in a few years, and this President will most certainly try to give them Amnesty. And of course it will encourage more Illegals. President Bush is not being honest about his plan, it's consequences, or his intentions.

Any idiot can see that few if any of these millions fleeing corruption and poverty would willingly turn around and go back home. None of this makes a lick of sense. Reports of entire Mexican villages now deserted are common. It would start with the ablebodies leaving for the US, getting a job or jobs, and sending remittances back home. Then more and more headed north, finally, they sent for Granny and the rest of the family. Twenty five percent of the population has already crossed the Rio Grande. I don't see anyone headed the other way. Who does Bush think he's kidding?

President Bush is not being honest about his plan, it's consequences, or his intentions.
He doesn't have to, but I'll say it. This is brilliant move on his and Karl Rove's part. It will win the hearts and more importantly the votes of hispanics and ensure a reelection victory for GWB. We can't risk losing the presidency at this crucial time in history.

Looks like *new & improved* B.I.C.E. has added ANOTHER 100K to our absconder list in only 18 months.
Wonder why GWB didn't mention this FACT in his speech ??

We can't risk losing the presidency at this crucial time in history.I dunno, every candidate is for Amnesty. It's possible, though, that the Congress would resist one more from a Dem.
Besides, could a Dem grow the Mulsim immigrant population any faster? Would a Rat cover even more for the House of Saud?
We face a beggar's choice this fall.

Under this program, undocumented workers currently in the United States will be able to come out of the shadows and establish legal identities.Undocumented workers, aka. "illegal aliens".
This plan is not amnesty, placing undocumented workers on the automatic path of citizenship.
While there was no mention of automatic citizenship in the Bush proposal, nonetheless, granting legal status to illegal aliens is the same as granting a pardon to a criminal and that grant of a pardon is amnesty. No doubt about it.
The world changed on 9-11 and it will never be the same again. A new and tougher immigration policy for the 21st century is required. That policy should be in sync with the long term desires of the American people and not adhere to the desires of a POTUS who will be out of office in five years, or a Mexican president who doesn't give a rats arse about US security and sovereignty. The American people in overwhelming numbers, oppose amnesty and want the borders closed. If there is another major terrorist attack on US soil, the American people will demand their elected leaders seal the borders immediately.
America is in the midst of a full blown national emergency called the War on Terrorism. It takes priority over everything else and open borders play right into the hands of terrorists. The POTUS should be concerned with the lives of the average law abiding American citizen, above all else. The Bush proposal gives preferential treatment to illegal aliens and employers who break the law.
The borders need to be sealed, employers who break the law by hiring illegal aliens need to be prosecuted and all illegals need to be rounded up one by one, prosecuted, then deported or imprisoned.

The wires said, the Sept. 11 attacks distracted Bush from the immigration overhaul that Fox had appealed for. They said that, because thats what the Bush band said.
Gee, sorry Bush, that you were distracted.
Well, you can get back to the important agenda, again. Immigration overhaul. That is, overhauling those Chevy engines of them vans and cars crashing the gates of our borders so they can get here faster, even legit. Dont worry, now that they will be legit, they got them drivers licenses, too. So, sorry that you were distracted, George, now back to the real important stuff before you were distracted. Like, the Hispanic vote. Or, even the illegal alien vote. Hey! Why not? Four more years. Four more million more illegals for each of those four more years.
