I don't believe this. I think someone hacked the site. The top 3 boys' names are all too similar and I've never heard of two of the three.

Anyone ever notice how many boy names start with a J? Every other kid I run into has a J name. Jeromy, Joshua, Jabob, Jason.....I think we have 3 Joshua's in our immediate area. LOL!

At first it was just black names that were absurd. I'm still waiting for "Escalade Jackson," "Grand Marquis Jones," "Nextel Jenkins" and "Pentium 4 Watkins" to grace the police blotters.

Now it seems white America feels the need to make their kid more speeeeeeeeeecial by giving them stupid (or ridiculously spelled versions of reguar) names. Megan Meghan, Mheghan, Meegan, Meghaan, Mehgann, Maygan, Mayghann, Morgan, Morgann, Morghann, More-gan, More-gon, Mor-on, morons, MORONS!!! It was once a white-trash phenomenon, now it's polluted all segments of society. It's mostly the woman's fault; although today's man isn't doing much about it... hence the preponderance of sissy boys' names.

Almost all of the boy names sound limp-wristed and androgenous. The girl names might as well earn the unfortunate recipients automatic welfare benefits.

It's not funny. It is a sign of a slow, painful decline down the toilet for the whole country.

Then this came along and I couldn't resist :-)

The Xinmin Evening News claims that China (population 1 billion 200 million) is running out of first names. In fact, nearly all of them use one of only a hundred or so given names, which means that if you are named Tiffany or Jason or Caitlin, there will be twelve million other people named Tiffany or Jason or Caitlin, and we can see how that would get on everyone's nerves. Yet so far nobody in China has been named Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmncssqlbb11116, much less Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmncssqlbb11117.

Soon every guy in America's name will rhyme.

Well, I don't care what the current trend is for YUPPIE children's names. We stuck to the normal tradition and named our four sons after beautiful family names: Anthony, Steven, Robert & Joseph. We are also a catholic family, so it worked out wonderful.

These idiotic YUPPIES seem to forget that their darling newborns will eventually grow up into adults and be stuck with a simple sounding and spelled name, talk about having problems.

It's a self centered thing to do IMO!

I have 3 little boys in my neighborhood named Cody. Fathers are wanna-be cowboys, you suppose, or what?

I've always liked "Blaise" and "Casimir". Both saints names. I believe Casimir was a Polish saint and Blaise was an Irish saint. My birthday (Feb. 3rd) is on the feast of St. Blaise.

I see Dylan is still hanging in there a full 15 years after it was popularized by Dylan on the show 90210. That has to be the record for a stupid name inspired by a stupid TV character.

I love Celtic names. I think Aiden is a strong, sexy name.

I also like Sean, Ian and Connor.

If I ever have a baby girl I would name her Lili or Chloe.

It was not so long ago that the Catholic Church would not baptize a child who did not carry a saint's name. Well..that's not quite right. They used to insist that the child being baptized be baptized with a saint's name. You could call him anything you wanted after that, I suppose.

For example, I had a co-worker who wanted to name his son Tyler Fox. The priest said, "Nope. Gotta have a saint's name in there someplace." So my buddy changed Tyler Fox into Tyler Francis, et voila! The baptism took place.

Unfortunately, the church now allows any name to be used.

Regards,

Thanks for the info ... but I'll stick with Biblical names ... Sarah Elizabeth are two women to admire ... unlike some of these trendy misspelled names ... . I find the spelling to be especially amusing ... maybe the parents are too stupid to spell it properly so they rely on spelling it phonetically.
