Lottery = a tax on the poor.

Lottery = a tax on those who can't 'do' math.

Getting prepared for the *I wanted to win defense*.....or if that fails *I wanted to help the laid-off police officers defense*.....so far I only see a charge of filing a false police report.

Lottery = a tax on the stupid.

Im also not stupid. $5 per week on lottery is hardly $40+ a week on cigarettes that could kill me. You tell me which is stupid (apologies to smokers).

Maybe she figured that if she had the money, she would be able to get in enough trouble that Cleveland would have to rehire the cops.

Lottery = a tax on the poor

Lottery = a tax on the poor mathematically ignorant/stupid.

I know many people who aren't poor who play it.

$5 as week for the lottery versus how much you have won over that time?

Battle said she wanted to use the money to help her family and recently laid-off Cleveland police officers.

Yeah, uh-huh. It was for those poor laid-off Police Officers.

She's not really a crackhead, she just had a rough night volunteering at the Police Benevolent Union...

She had no public integrity to compromise. I mean, this is not a case of a person who has been honorable in all things, but was corrupted when this stakes were that high. This was low-life dirtbag.

Remember the lady who got news coverage for being trampled by the crowds at Wal-Mart. She appears to be a professional victim and were it not for some snoopy reported, Wal-Mart might well have paid out some small amount after she filed the inevitable nuisance lawsuit.

The cynical plaintiffs' lawyers who facilitate these people (and sometimes even put them up to it) are the most culpable.

It's not like any individual juror gets the full picture, and the judges and defense lawyers can't tell the jury just how scummy the plaintiffs are, so it is the plaintiffs' lawyers who are at fault for this extortion.

Yep, a whole $5, for the off hand chance that I may score big. Im guessing you have a zero % chance of winning any lottery. So I have an infinately better chance at winning something than you do. :P

what can we expect?

They use to throw gangsters in jail for running number games. Now the questions are:

Was it really Ok back then and we simply misread what should be legal or not?, or, are gangsters running our government?

Appears to be a bastard child of a corrupt parent.

blessings, bobo
