Howlin, I don't see anything wrong with what Junta said, but I think I could be said in a more refined manner:

Outside of the War on Terror, Bush's actions to date have a serious socialist ring to them.

Patriot Act
CFR
Medicaid "reform"
Proposed Amnesty

Had any of these ideas been enacted under Clinton, we would have all had anyuresims gnashing our teeth at how despicable they were.

But a huge sect of repulicans don't worry about this kind of stuff. Why?

The only thing that I can think of is that after 8 years of stains, fouled sinks, lies and outright deciet we have conditioned ourselves to accept that as long as the President appears "honorable", clean cut and god fearing then there can be nothing wrong with what he does.

Yes Bush is a good man, but he is leading this country deeper into socialsim. That may be fine for you or you may disagree, but the proof is in the facts of his signed and proposed legislation.

I'll say it once again. Bush is a neocon of the likes Ronald Regan would have spit from his mouth.

Which was my exact point; filled with hyperbole and jingoism.

I have no doubt that Reagan might be appalled at some of the spending that's going on but let us acknowledge that Reagan granted amnesty to illegal aliens during his term in office.

And I think it also is fair to acknowledge that Reagan would probably applaud President Bush's foreign policy.

Now your ignorance is showing. You pit Reagan against Bush, which Ronald Reagan would slap you silly for doing, IMO.

Reagan signed a tax increase, didn't sign one piece of legislation restricting abortion, and signed amnesty for illegal aliens, and yet you try to pit Reagan against Bush.

Does this mean I think that Reagan was a failure as a President, hell no, the failure is with the likes of you who do the liberal playbook of trying to pit people against each other.

I disagree about the ReAgan comment. Ronaldus Maximus would have understood that post 9/11 required extra bugetary needs.

I will wait until I hear POTUS speak this afternoon before I form opinion about the Immigration issue

Let's give you your argument that President Bush is a "Neo-con" when it comes to domestic policy.

You posted that he was of 'no worth.'......those were your words.

Do you then feel that our success in the War on Terror is of 'no worth?' Do you feel that the revitalization and respect for the military are of 'no worth?' Do you feel that the tax cuts and rebounding economy are of 'no worth?' And do you honestly believe that the decency of the man is of 'no worth?'

You make no sense, Rebelbase, when you say that what was once of value is now of 'no worth,' and it is such extreme and drastic anti-Bush statements that diminish any civil discourse on the topics at hand.

"Bush is a neocon of the likes Ronald Regan would have spit from his mouth."

That's the funniest thing of all.

Reagan was the prototype neocon.
