I see the only hope for truth on this crash getting out to be the Boeing team, since they have a vested interest in making sure the aircraft itself isn't wrongly blamed . . . given that the Egyptian government says no terrorism is possible in Egypt (tell that to Anwar Sadat), the Egyptians certainly won't be interested in finding the "truth" . . .

"The Egyptian el-Sharq Insurance company"
Something about this company's name fails to inspire my confidence.

A robot submarine sent by the French can operate no deeper than 1,320 feet. The seabed in the area drops at one point to about 3,300 feet. Brilliant! Good planning Pierre!

Hopefully the last thing the pilot said was not "Allah Akbar", like that other Egyptian pilot a while back.

"But I don't think it was a terrorist act because there's no possibility for that in Sharm el-Sheik or anywhere else in Egypt," Mubarak told reporters in the northern city of Alexandria. What an incredibly revealing thing to say.
