Autonomy, whose directors include American right-wing defence expert Richard Perle, has made a name for itself in providing anti-fraud software. Perle is currently fighting his own corporate battle as a director of Hollinger, the company that controls the Telegraph group, which is accused of having looted $300m from the newspaper publishing empire. Court papers recently filed by a major shareholder accuse Perle and his fellow Hollinger non-executives of negligence for failing properly to scrutinise the actions of Lord Black, Hollinger's head.
