Amin Al Husseini inspecting Nazi Muslim troops - 1943

Amin Al Husseini in Berlin during World War II.

Amin Al Husseini meets Heinrich Himmler, Head of Nazi SS.

Not only was this guy the founder of the Arab League and the World Islamic Congress he was also the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.

And here is one of his disciples...

Yasser Arafat became a disciple of Amin Al Husseini since the age of 17. Here: recent picture of Palestinian soldiers under the leadership of Arafat making the traditional Nazi salute.

Thanks risk for the advise how to make the link...I was very close, missing the quote marks.

Just playing the Devil's advocate here, but : are these people saluting or are they taking an oath ? That being said, it's true there were many ties between WWII (and even WWI) Germany and the Muslim authorities.

Of course, that was a time when there were power brokers galore, all ready to play with the driving force of Middle-Eastern religion. Look at the diplomatic maneuvers of the British Empire, who played Husseyn, Sheriff of Mecca, against Ibn-Saud, Sheriff of Riyadh during the English-inspired Arab revolts. American and British consortiums also played the Wahabbite or the Hachemite card to settle their disputes on oil concessions in Arabia, and now we're stuck with too many old scores...
