I agree with you, the anti-war-stance as well as the floods both led to his reelection. If one had not happened, hail the new Chancellor!
I loved the Steuersong. It was a great idea. People still don´ t trust Schröder, and I deeply hope that they won´t get manipulated by his propaganda in the next years. The reforms, passed with the votes of the opposition (we fortunately have a majority in the Upper House), shall not make him looking better. I´m glad the latest poll still sees his party at 27%. We have 5 state elections this year, and we need to defend our majorities in each state!

That one was already attempted back in 1994. Algerian terrorists hijacked an airliner to France and demanded it to be refuelled. The intended target was the Eiffel Tower. French Special Forces ended the hijacking by storming the plane at Marseille.
