Good for you! That exit at Gorman is easy and you can park right on the side of the road there.

We went to Yosemite in Nov of last year on our way to Las Vegas (yes, I know how strange that sounds), we got lucky with both the crowds (none) and the weather(clear and cool). Took a picture on that small wooden bridge which leads to the Village parking lot and the Lodge. In the background the trees were turning color and the lighting was right.

During your trip in spring you should have great flowers and wonderful waterfalls! Are you staying in the park?

No, we stayed in Mariposa, but are thinking about staying in the park. We have gone in October and stayed in a tent cabin (BRRRRRR). Usually we stay in Oakhurst, but this Easter we stayed in Mariposa. It was overcast and cold, and there was snow still on the grownd by the lower falls. If you are facing the lower falls, then the snow was accessible by continuing down that path to the right and then hooking behind. Kids had fun playing in the snow, building snowmen and such.
