I think your analysis is right and I agree with you. I am beginning to think if Dean doesn't get the nod, he will run 3rd party maybe with Nader. Now wouldn't that be a pair. They would take every leftist vote there is which would be great for our side.

If Dean makes any attempt to jump to another party the media will make sure he gets NO press at all.
Remember how they were happy to allow Ross Perot all the air time he wanted when it was clear he was hurting President Bush. Near the end of the campaign the media simply refused to even sell Perot any time.
