No we don't need a third party - that's always a mistake and a quixotic quest, but I can guarantee that issues of economic security, preservation of a viable standard of living for the middle class and the relationship of these issues to illegal immigration and free/fair trade will be on the political agenda big time in 2008. We will thank GWB and his team for dealing with Islamic terrorists until then, but when these issues finally rear up, they will dominate the political dialog. Either the RATS or the GOP will own these issues. If the RATS (illegally) seize them, then I fear for the future of our country since their solutions will be worse than the problems. Therefore, we need to start building a consciousness within the Republican party of how important these issues are and will become and to start creating viable, workable and principled policies to address them.

Yes, the Third Party rhetoric and trash talk about not voting, etc is diluting the issues and the effort to get out a clear mesage to the GOP.
