One task force 1st Armored Division soldier killed, five wounded in IED attack

 BAGHDAD, Iraq A soldier from Task Force 1st Armored Division was killed and five other soldiers were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated during a mounted patrol east of the Karadah district in Baghdad at approximately 10:13 a.m. this morning.

The wounded soldiers have been evacuated to military medical facilities.

The names of the soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The incident is under investigation.
