I asked for and got two books on WW2 for Christmas. After reading them, I was just astounded how history tends to repeat itself if you ignore the lesson.
My opinion was that the root cause of WW2 was three things. The Great Depression, The Versailles Treaty and the Age of the Dictators. The tinder that started the fires was the appeasement of Germany's neighbors to avoid any type of conflict at the expense of many unfortunate people.
United States wasn't immune to this. We were sick and tired of Europe's problems and WW1. Any polician that dared mention anything but neutrality would have been appeached. In fact, at one point, our Congress was actually thinking of an amendment to the US Constitution that we cannot declare war until confirmed by a majority vote by a nationwide referendum.
There are a lot of similarities between Hitler and Saddam. What would happen if Bush Sr. and Jr. didn't stop Saddam? The answer is, 50 million people should not have died if the world stood up to Hitler.
Saddam planned to conquer the richest oil regions of the world, he was pursuing nuclear weapons until Israelis bombed his plant, and Saddam shown the willingness to use biological/chemical weapons on the Kurds and Iranians.
What in God's name is Dennis Kucinich and the other appeasers waiting for? An engraved invitation?

Cut me a big slice of that fear, baby.

Were getting lulled into a false sense of insecurity,
Here's the news from la-la land-there's really no danger.
Bush can't win: if more terror attacks succeed, it's because Bush provoked them and is impotent against them. If there aren't more attacks, Bush is fear-mongering.

I parked next to a car with Kucinish & other liberal stickers all over it yesterday. When the couple came out & got into it, they were the grouchiest most foul tempered looking couple I have seen in a long while. They were not "happy campers"! (May their mood deteriorate even farther as we go toward the next election) Go Bush Go! he he

"I parked next to a car with Kucinish & other liberal stickers all over it yesterday."I take my daughter to dance lessons at a local church hall.
There's a car just like that, covered with Kucinich stickers, NARAL, Save the Whales, etc.
It's the Pastor's car.

Does your pastor have the bumper sticker which reads;
Be a hero save a whale,
save a baby, go to jail

Adams endorsed Kucinichs plan to create a federal Department of Peace and cheered his support for universal single-payer healthcare. I don't think that Dennis Kucinich (D-OZ) gets near enough coverage in the main stream media.

The love candidate might not sound strong enough to some who seek a President who is tough on national security, ...but 'the little commie bastard' didn't focus test well.

Failed Kucinich strategy: "Who Wants To Be First Lady?"; new Kucinich strategy: "Campaigning With Street Clowns":
The Democratic Presidential candidate joined a celebrity supporter, street clown and physician Hunter Patch Adams, at a Nashua campaign stop yesterday, each taking shots at the Bush administrations national security efforts.

Someone ask the little commie Kucinich why he tried to join the Ohio Guard a few years ago. We refused to take the little spitball. It's obvious that the little draft dodger wanted to have "military" experience on his resume. That little twit can just stand on the Captiol steps holding hands with beer keg legs Hillary and sing "Kumbaya" while Americans are fighting to protect this country.
