Nobody is for "amnesty" as a general statement. The main thing is to secure the borders, so we stop illegal immigration.
No, this is the Clinton-Bush non-solution. The borders will not be secure so long as the interior is not secure. Secure the interior, and you won't "need" Amnesty. Fail to secure the interior, and Amnesty won't deliver on any of the false promises of its proponents. Beyond that, as I said, what do you want to do, have the police go on a house to house search and grab anyone who can't present citizenship papers, drag them kicking and screaming and heave them across the border to Mexico?
No, and this is a disingenuous question on your part. Nowhere did I suggest t going house to house; I proposed politically feasible, economical, and realistic solutions to the problem you said had none. Your solution is to make things worse with this or that Amnesty, followed or preceded by "REALISTIC" in caps. The point was coming up with REALISTIC solution, not FANTASY "solutions".
None of my proposals are fantastic, except to the extent that handwringers and apologists for appeasement to Illegals would be required to put down their delusions and be honest with themselves, and others.
