They had Rush's admission that he was addicted, and when you are, there are various ways of getting the drugs, and one of them is doctor shopping

And in the vast majority of the cases a first time non-violent, non-trafficking addict who admits his/her addiction and seeks treatment gets probation. Should Rush get different treatment, such as this fishing expedition?

Read my #70, I agree it would be the honorable thing to cooperate, plea bargain and likely get probation (if he did indeed doctor shop). But probation means conviction, and Rush is trying not to let it get that far, whining about persecution all the while.
