This is the first time I've heard of "disaster teams" at the ready. Anyone else have more on this?

They've done mock drills over the past couple years.
Everybody take a deep breath and calm down...

This is the first time I've heard of "disaster teams" at the ready.Last time the 'disaster teams' were used, was at the last shuttle crash. It was a drill weekend, so everybody was already there. They are called the Reserve, and the Guard. They will be there if there's a problem.
There are also Active Duty teams ready to respond. Some are always awake. That's what they do. They protect us.

"The increased threat level triggered activation of the disaster teams" Sounds like the Orange alert leads to this event, so its happened before when we were at Orange.

We even have them on the county and local levels...I just had a (short) briefing last week on their preparations.
