Uh oh. Sounding more serious all the time.

The government has never been this proactive on homeland defense, and for them to be doing so on Christmas is rather troubling.
It's like we're in the middle of Tom Clancy plot, only the type is in white ink. We can't see anything.

This is the first time I've heard of "disaster teams" at the ready. Anyone else have more on this?

I agree, Dog, I'm having serious concerns at this point. Truly believe there my be some VERY specific intel at high levels.

If you will remember, I told you several days after 9/11/2001 that we would be hit again. That we have not been so far is a testament to the hard work of the administration, and also by the grace of God.
The terrorists are desperate for a win, however minor. I believe this is a serious time and we should all be alert.

I'm quite concerned with what we haven't been told yet. Seems like everyday we learn a tad more. With all the nuke threat stuff we've been reading about. Who knows

There was a rumor yesterday that the government had teams on standby....I guess those rumors were correct.

It makes you wonder which is worse.
Knowing what could happen.
Or not knowing and being out here in the general public wonderign.
Let's hope that we are ready to react to anything and even more proactive to stop the hairballs.

It's giving me the creeps, too. It certainly looks like our intel guys think 9/11, Part II, has been launched, and it could be bigger and badder than the first.
Maybe they thwarted part of it yesterday with the French flights (thanks again, France, for letting all passengers leave the airport).
But now it looks like they're prepared for a massive bio attack, too.
If we're not creeped out, our intel guys seem to be, and that's reason enough to be concerned.

Rudy Guliani had some very interesting comments the other day. He stated that the British people were bombed each night by the Nazis during a period of WW2, a definite Code Red every night.
The Brits went about their business each day, kids going to school, people going to work, and lived through it. Whatever, if anything, happens, America will live through it, become stronger over time, and defeat the evil.

The increased threat level triggered activation of the disaster teams, composed of government experts from different agencies. We went to Orange before and they never did this..
Folks we are thisclose to a Code RED..

They've done mock drills over the past couple years.
Everybody take a deep breath and calm down...

The government has never been this proactive on homeland defense, and for them to be doing so on Christmas is rather troubling. Gee's, look at the bright side, no major attacks have been accomplished since 9/11, and to the complaints of some, we are prepared for such a diabolical deed.

You are one of the few people here who has read that book. Alas Babylon, the Freeper, is another.
Well, time to drag out all those things we learned during the Y2K scare. Although that was a fiasco, we did learn a lot about survival. God works in mysterious ways.

This is the first time I've heard of "disaster teams" at the ready.Last time the 'disaster teams' were used, was at the last shuttle crash. It was a drill weekend, so everybody was already there. They are called the Reserve, and the Guard. They will be there if there's a problem.
There are also Active Duty teams ready to respond. Some are always awake. That's what they do. They protect us.
