Great catch. There is a whole heck of a lot of alleging going on all the way around. If Limbaugh had taken a quarter of the drugs he's alleged to have bought he would have died.

If Limbaugh had taken a quarter of the drugs he's alleged to have bought he would have died.I have heard around ten to twelve doctors of good reputation on various talkshows over the past months say that that is not true. They reported that Rush could very easily have built up a tolerance, requiring more and more drugs. The doctor's are unanimous on that. He would not necessarily have died.

This is getting funny - others have said the 2,000 pills we know of in a 5 month period is no big deal ....
At a quick search for pharmacology of the drugs he bought, it appears he got twice as many as the maximum that is normally prescribed, from the single pharmacy we can see the records of.

I think you've hit the nail on the head! That's why the prosecutors want to review Rush's medical records. If he really was purchasing as many drugs as has been alleged then he must have been supplying them to someone else! Otherwise he would be dead or was hoarding huge quantities.
I also think they want to know if the drug use began after his alleged back problems.
