I just got through eating Kwanza pie, Kwanza cake, Kwanza turkey and drinking Kwanza wine and beer. I'm offended by this article.

P.S...What the hell is Kwanza?

Reminds me of what Ann Coulter wrote in one of her books.

"If you travel to west Africa and mention Kwanzaa, you're likely to get a spear through the chest."

or something to that effect.

Kwanzaa is a pseudo-holiday created back in the sixties. It was originally proposed as a "black-nationalist Christmas."
When it was later discovered how popular Christmas was amoungst Blacks it was proposed as a parallel celebration.
Without going into too much detail, how it was defined pretty much provides the evidence of its ghetto origins as well as displaying the typical ignorance of the black nationalism movement including it's sequel known as Afrocentrism. First it's supposed to be a harvest festival, but harvest festivals don't exist during the winter in sub-Saharan Africa. The words it uses for it's principles are derived from Swahilli, which is a language hybrid of Arabic and East African Bantu. Almost all Blacks in the United States and the Western Hemisphere are of West African origin so Swahilli would've been totally foreign to their ancestors.
They use a cheap copy of a Menorrah with candles colored in the "black nationalist" colors. Besides being a complete rip off of Hanukkah, Africans didn't use candles, let alone colored ones.
